SUMMER SCULLING/ROWING PROGRAM 2008
TIMEFRAME: 7 July – 30 July
LOCATION: Lake Joyce—Ackiss House, 2401 Lookout Court. Park on cul-de-sac or in
the vacant lot, but do not block driveways
DIRECTIONS: Shore Drive toward Norfolk from VB, turn right on Indian Hill Rd (just past
Taste Unlimited) to Lookout Rd, left about 500m to Lookout Court.
BOATS AVAILABLE: singles (2), double (2), quad (1)
TIMES: Please choose a minimum of two sessions per week for sculling lessons.
Sculling lessons are scheduled for 90 minutes each. Sculling lessons cannot be given
during Belles/selected Falcon Crew rowing times. Note: There will be days when my
commitments will not allow lessons, but I will work out alternate times with you when that
occurs.
CHARGE: $10 per lesson. If you are not already a VBRC member, I will ask for $50
dollars initially which will be for a VBRC summer membership and will include your first five
lessons. All other sessions will be billed at the end of the summer season, or when you
finish all your lessons. Current crew members training in singles, doubles and quads for
competition this fall and rowing during the Selected Falcon Crew times will not be charged
for those times.
Sign-up is on a first come basis. I do have some flexibility for unique situations.
